Song Sparrow

Song Sparrow Call

Recorded in Penrose, NC, Spring 2008.

The favorite habitat of the Song Sparrow is brushy areas and marshes including salt-water marshes.  They thrive around people and can be found along roadsides, farmland and in neighborhoods.  Song Sparrows forage on the ground, in shrubs or in shallow water, eating mainly insects and seeds.
