Herring Gull
Recorded Hunting Island State Park - October, 2005.
To be honest, I'm not really sure this call is a Herring Gull. It could be a Ring Billed Gull, but I haven't been able to find anything online to help me make the identification. Please email me at tibart@mindspring.com if you can assist with this identification.
I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this because BirdWeb.org says that "The Herring Gull is a large gull that can easily be confused with almost any of the other large gull species. "
